Lukashenka To Support Alcohol Producers

Tax breaks for alcohol producers extended for another 2 years.

In 2017-2018 Belarusian producers of strong alcohol drinks and beer will have the right to choose the time of payment of the excise taxes while the production is being shipped of sold.

This follows from the Lukashenka’s decree, signed on August 17.

“From January 1, 2017 till December 31, 2018, the decree provides the organizations producing alcoholic drinks, low alcohol drinks containing more than 1.2% and less than 7% of ethyl alcohol (natural low alcohol drinks other low alcohol drinks) and (or) beer, with the right to determine the moment of the actual sale (transfer) of excisable goods as they are shipped or as they are paid for, for the purposes of calculation and payment of excise taxes to the budget,” – the press-service of the dictator informs.

Previously, such measure was introduced for the Belarusian producers of alcoholic beverages from 1 January 2015 by the decree № 471 “On peculiarities of the activities of organizations of alcohol and brewing industries.”

Then such decision was motivated by the desire to stabilize the financial and economic situation of such organizations and to increase their efficiency.
