Why Lukashenka Goes To Beijing And Islamabad?

The dictator’s visits to the two largest Asian countries: China and Pakistan are planned for this autumn.

Lukashenko is going to visit The Celestial Empire in late September, and in October he is visiting the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

According to deputy head of Lukashenka's Administration Mikalai Snapkou, the Belarusian state head’s visit to China will be a breakthrough and will give rise to a new stage in the political and economic cooperation. Aliaksandr Lukashenka has the same expectations about the upcoming meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

According to the data of the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, in the first six months of this year, the sales with China fell by 31.5% and amounted to 966.6 million dollars. The Celestial Empire is the fifth in this respect.

With that, the Belarusian exports fell by 22.6% and amounts to only 95.2 million dollars, and the deficit is 776, 2 million dollars.

Pakistan is on the 54-th position in the list of Belarus's largest trading partners. The sales with the sixth most populous country in the world amounted to only 26.4 million dollars, having decreased by 15.5% compared to the same period last year.

“Your Country’s Tomorrow” has made the list of the 25 top trade partners of Belarus from the “rest of the world” countries.

It is noteworthy that potash is the main export product of Belarus to these countries.

The rating does not include representatives of the European Union, the former Soviet Union and the United States and Canada.
