The said that the results of the vote “counting” at polling stations will not be published.

The candidate for “deputies” at the Slonim constituency № 58 Aliaksandr Masjuk appealed to the Central Election Commission with a request “to make a copy of the detailed results of the elections at the 65 polling stations of the Slonim constituency № 58 available to him, and to publish these results in the local media and on the website of the Slonim district executive committee.”

Aliaksandr Masjuk received a reply from the CEC Chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna on September 23, Radio Racyja reports.

In response, Yarmoshyna said: “Dear Aliaksandr Kanstantsinavich! The Central Commission of Belarus for Elections and National Referendums has considered your request to give you the opportunity to become acquainted with the results of the voting on all 65 polling stations of the Slonim constituency № 58, and to publish these results in the media and to post them on the website of the Slonim district executive committee.

Concerning the issues raised in your request, we inform you on the following. According to the procedure for reviewing the results of voting at polling stations defined by the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus, a resulting protocol is made available at each polling station and authorized persons of candidates and other observers can get familiar with it and make copies of it.

Publication of the voting results from all the polling stations within the constituency in the media and placing them on the websites of local executive and administrative bodies is not provided for by the electoral law. In this regard your requirements to oblige the local authorities to make the voting results of all the 65 polling stations available to you and to publish the results in the media and on the Internet are not based on the law.”
