MFA Confirms: Refugee Camps To Be Built In Belarus

7 million euros will be allocated for this purpose.

In the several coming years, Belarus will build several “migrant accommodation centers” for the expense of the European Union. Each will admit 30-50 people. The European Commission provides 7 million dollars to the official Minsk for this purpose, informs the German daily newspaper Tageszeitung. The Belarusian Ministry for Foreign Affairs has confirmed this information to Euroradio.

“We are talking about the joint project of the Belarusian side and the Representation of the international migration organization in the Republic of Belarus, which is implemented in the framework of another project “Partnership for Mobility”, - head of the press-center of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Belarus Dzmitry Mironchyk says.

According to him, the work on building the centers for migrant accommodation is being carried out in the framework of preparation for signing the readmission agreement between Belarus and the European Union.
