Ministry Of Information Blocks Another 11 Websites

The internet-resources have been blocked due to “inappropriate advertising”.

The Ministry of Information has blocked 11 website due to “inappropriate advertising”, stated in the message published at the official website of the Ministry. In accordance with the written notification of the Ministry for the Anti-Monopoly Regulation and Trade, the Ministry of Information has limited the access to the following websites since January 10, 2017: dengi-srochno.by, dengi-bystro.by, zaem-vsem.by, fxline.by, landing.fxline.by, streamforex.by, weltrade.ru, by.weltrade.com, stforex.com, ru.mtrading.com, mtrading.by.

“The resources dengi-srochno.by, dengi-bystro.by, zaem-vsem.by published the information about provision of micro-loans to an unlimited number of people by physical persons, not included into the register of micro-financial organizations in compliance with the requirements set in Lukashenka’s Decree #325 dated June 30, 2014 “On attracting and provision of loans, and activity of micro-financial organizations”, — the Ministry’s message says.

The remaining 8 websites have been blocked due to advertising of the organizations, not included in the list of forex companies.

We remind, this is not the first case the Ministry of Information limits access to certain internet-resources due to breaking of the advertising law. For example, this December the Ministry blocked the website which used to publish information about micro-loans provided by individuals. Earlier, there was one more website, blocked by the Ministry of Information for advertisement related to selling drugs and delivery of alcohol.

In total, the Ministry of Information limited the access to 47 informational resources in 2016. The access to one of them has been restored. 21 of them were blocked for distribution of information related to selling psychotropic substances, 13 — for publishing extremist materials, 11 — for inappropriate advertising and 2 — for propaganda of pornography, violence and brutality.
