Belarus And Hong Kong Agreed To Abolish Visas

Hong Kong visa costs 30 dollars for Belarusians today.

On Monday, a Belarusian delegation headed by First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky and the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Autonomous Region Leung Chun-ying have agreed on the mutual abolition of visas.

According to the Embassy of Belarus in China, the agreement will enter into force after completion of internal procedures in Belarus and China.

Experts believe, that the abolition of visas between Belarus and Hong Kong will intensify contacts between the two countries in the field of business and tourism.

On Monday, they have also signed an agreement on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of evasion of tax on income and property between Belarus and Hong Kong.

Pursuant to the agreement, the rate of dividends and interests will be 5%, royalty rate is 3-5%, rates on other operations haven't been specified.

According to the experts, the agreement on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of evasion of tax on income and property creates favorable conditions for cooperation in the financial field.
