Belarusian passport takes 57th place in the ranking of the 95 most powerful passports in the world in 2017.

The main Passport Index’s criterion is the number of countries that the document owner can visit without a visa, tut.by reports.

With a Belarusian passport you can enter 67 countries without a visa. Our country shares the 57th place in the ranking with Papua - New Guinea, Georgia and Bolivia. Neighboring Poland, Russia and Ukraine occupy respectively the 9th (149 countries), 39th (103 countries) and 46th (87 countries) places.

The German passport has been recognized a most influential one. It provides a visa-free access to 157 countries. Sweden and Singapore are in the second place. Citizens of these countries can visit 156 countries without having to worry about the visa. The third line is occupied by Denmark, Finland, France, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, UK and the USA. A visa-free entry into 155 countries is available to their citizens.

The Afghan passport comes last in the ranking. Its forcefulness is rated as the lowest: Afghan citizens can enter 23 countries without a visa.

The Passport Index Rating was made by the Canadian company for financial consulting Arton Capital. It covers 193 countries and 6 territories. At that, the ranking has got only 95 positions, so some of them are shared by several countries.
