Who Is To Replace Lukashenka To Be Discussed Solovyov’s Program?

Strange letters have been arriving to the independent media editor offices.

The day before yesterday I received the following letter by regular mail:

"Hello, Natallia!

I am the producer of the program "An Evening with Vladimir Solovyov" on the Russia TV channel.

On January 11, we plan a discussion on air about Belarus and we want to invite you to participate.

The topic of the discussion: "Who will replace Lukashenka?"

The program will refer to the political and economic situation in Belarus, the Republic's foreign policy.

The airtime is about 2 hours.

Please inform us promptly on your agreement to participate in the discussion.

The editorial pays the travel expenses.

I wish you Happy New Year on behalf of the editorial!

Elena Solomina

Producer, Russia TV channel

(495) 232-63-33"

I answered this letter as follows:

"Thank you for the invitation, but I can’t go to Russia, because I am afraid to go to jail on trumped-up criminal charges, as it happened, for example, to leader of Belarusian anarchists Ihar Alinevich or blogger Eduard Palchys, and then be passed to Lukashenka's secret services. I’m ready to take part via Skype from Warsaw."

I received no reply to this letter. However, this morning I got information from Nasha Niva, that they had received the Russia TV channel news release, stating that I was participating in this program:

"The participants will discuss the political and economic situation in Belarus, foreign policy, relations with Russia and the EU, the arrests of the Russian World supporters, abducted politicians, history books. Vladimir Zhirinovsky, A. Prokhanov, N. Radzina, A . Zimouski, A. Sivitski, A. Bazhelka, S. Shushkevich, F.Klintsevich, A. Suzdaltsev are invited to take part."

The situation is strange, because I'm not going to Russia and I had informed the Russia TV channel about it. It might be a provocation.
