Today is the 31st anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.

Gathering of participants of the "Chernobyl Way - 2017" started at 6 p.m. near the “Kastrychnik” cinema. The actual rally started at 6:30 on the sidewalk of the Independence Avenue, Surhanau Street, Arlouskaya Street to the Bangalore Square, where the demonstration took place at 8 p.m., ending with the floral tribute at the memorial sign “To Victims of Chernobyl”.

500 to 1000 people participated in the action. Later, some participants of the rally joined the demonstration in Kyiv square, organized by the Conservative Christian Party of the BPF.

The participants of the demonstration in Kyiv square adopted a resolution which refers to the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster in Belarus, the "nuclear cloud" that were downed on the territory of Belarus under the order of the USSR leaders, the secret testing of nuclear weapons on the territory of our country long before the April 26, 1986. A strong protest against the construction of the Astravets NPP is also expressed in the resolution.

Pavel Seviarynets has said at the demonstration in Kyiv square that "political Chernobyl" is taking place in Belarus today. He has recalled the events which happened on the Freedom Day in Minsk on March 25. According to him, Lukashenka's regime does not pay attention to the signs of God: people die at the construction of the Astravets NPP, the station is built on the ground faults, and the reactor itself has repeatedly been damaged. "We need to stop this regime!", - he has said.

He has said, that "the Moscow authorities" have always been the enemy of Belarus, precisely because of their criminal actions Belarus today remains one the most polluted countries in the world, and thanks to this Moscow authorities, the Lukashenka regime is at power today.
