Blackouts At Grodno Enterprises
11:07, 21/01/2002

“Belenergo” concern obliged its electricity-suppliers to cease catering for the needs of a number of organizations. The first, who fell under this order, were the companies-debtors from the Grodno region, which have the lowest indexes as far as the payment for the consumed energy.

The sanctions will be lifted not until the debtors clear off their indebtedness before “Belenergo”. Under the ratified “Order of curtailing the supplies of the natural gas, electric and heat energy” the responsibility for the consequences, caused by the restricted or halted supply of energy resources, stays with the heads of companies-consumers, which are liable to pay off their debts, and the state officials, who guaranteed their payment in due time.
