Foreign Currency Reserves Reduce by $30mln 11:04, 19/04/2002
Over the first quarter of the year the foreign assets of Belarus fell by almost $30mln in size: from 229mln rubles on January 1 to 200mln on April 1, said the chair of the National Bank’s board Petr Prokopovich at the press-conference in Minsk.
According to Prokopovich, reports BelaPAN, the “curtailment of currency reserves happened due to the change in actives and passives, in particular because of the loan, earmarked to the government”.
