Depression, if it strikes a person, usually leads to a serious ailment. Depression in a society provokes the destruction of social organism – crisis in economy, loss of sovereignty, population’s extinction. Social depression starts with a minor thing – human rights violations, ending in the total social collapse. For the time being the Belarusian society is suffering from authoritarian depression but without proper treatment it can grow into totalitarian coma.
OSCE Chair Urges Belarus to Make Proposals for Improving Relations
The Chairman of the OSCE Permanent Council, Ambassador Joao de Lima Pimentel of Portugal, called on the government of Belarus on June 6 in Vienna to make concrete proposals for improving co-operation with the 55-nation Organization.
