Incarcerated Khodyko May Serve 1 Month

“An article “disrespect for court” also envisages up to 15 days of arrest. Therefore, Yuri Khodyko may get overall up to 1 month of jail,” – says the lawyer of the “Vesna” human rights center Valentin Stefanovich. As you know, earlier in the day deputy head of BPF party, professor Yuri Khodyko was delivered by law-enforcers to the Okrestina jail, where he is supposed to serve 15 days for organizing the People’s March “For Better Life!”. Moreover, the man was also notified that now he also faces charges of “disregard for the court”, due to be raised at the July 2 court hearings, when his current arrest term will expire.

Deputy chairman of BPF Party “Adradjenne”, professor Yuri Khodyko, arrested this morning, was delivered to the Okrestina str. confinement center, where he will serve 15 days of administrative arrest, Charter’s press-center was told by his son Konstantin Khodyko. The law-enforcers behaved very rudely, he said, not letting him call his family or take with him the first necessity things.

One May Bail Himself Out of Jail?

“Tamara Scherbachevich will keep working as director of the National State Humanities Lyceum of Yakub Kolas,” – stated at the Friday meeting with the professors, students and parents the Minister of education Petr Brigadin. Scandalous Site About Lukashenko Goes Shut

On June 13 at around 6p.m. there was obstructed access to the web-site “Batke Net” (http://www.batke.net/), where the anonymous persons allocated the scandalous book about Lukashenko “Invasion. An unknown life of a well-known president” (“Yauza” publishing house, Moscow). As written by Russian press about the book: “Some immediately linked the book’s appearance with the complicated relations between Lukashenko and Putin. The book with a 5,000 print run is unveiling the details from the life of Lukashenko and his encirclement, written in the best “black PR” style”.

Yuri Khodyko Apprehended

Deputy chairman of BPF Party “Adradjenne”, professor Yuri Khodyko was arrested this morning, Charter’s press-center was told by his son Konstantin Khodyko. The politician was captured by plain-clothed operatives, who presented no documents, proving their identity. They dragged him by force out of his car and violently threw into their vehicle. They only told him that they would deliver the professor to the police station and court of the Sovietsky district of Minsk. Yuri Khodyko’s son described the assault as “criminal”.

Belarus Makes Money on "Union"

Allies get remarkable privileges in Russia. The Central Bank of Russia for the second time prolonged the credit to the Belarusian National Bank for sustaining its currency. The Belarusian bank, in its turn, allocated these means in the Russian banks, earning on deposits more than the loan itself costs them. In July 2001, June and November 2002 the Central Bank earmarked 4,5bln rubles in equal portions to the National Bank of Belarus. The credit is supposed to stabilize the Belarusian currency, while the deadline for payment is one year.
