Russian Government Critical of NTV Office’s Shutdown in Minsk
15:48, 08/07/2003

The government of Russia critically views the decision of the Belarusian authorities to close down NTV office in Belarus, commented the high-ranking official from the Russian Cabinet of Ministers on the recent incident in Minsk.

In an interview to “Interfax” he said the following: “The Russian government commented on the recent act of the Belarusian authorities in the following way: past history shows that such methods have never really solved problems, but rather complicated them”. “Once again Belarus instead of settling down the problems, prefers to make them more acute,” – said the Russian Cabinet’s official.
