The supervisor of the civil initiative “The Belarusian Solidarity”, a member of the Coordinative Council of the European Coalition “Free Belarus” Anatol Fiodaraw announced his plan to participate in the action “We remember…” devoted to the 55-th anniversary of the Universal Human Rights Day. The action will take place tomorrow in Minsk. “I will definitely participate in this action to be together with my friends. Solidarity is the thing necessary for the opposition. Especially in our totalitarian conditions. Solidarity is a prerequisite of a strong opposition. Today we lack solidarity, support, and respect. It is not that the regime is strong, but we are weak in our spirit. We lack solidarity. It is a Belarusian distinctive feature for today, that’s the reason why the regime is active for so long. Were the Belarusians united, we would live in a different country now,” said Anatol Fiodaraw to the Charter`s press center.

Alyaksandar Lukashenka denies that in 1995 in his interview to the German newspaper “Handelsblatt” he evaluated Hitler’s internal politics positively. “If I had said something of a kind in Belarus, I would have been forced to resign the next day. There would be no place for me in Belarus,” said he in his interview to the magazine “Der Spiegel”. At the same time he said, that every process has positive and negative sides even in a terrible situation. According to Lukashenka, the Germans themselves are searching for some positive things in that period of their history. You can judge yourself if the words he pronounced a couple of years ago can be considered a praise to Hitler. Here is the complete quotation:
