On December 10 some dozens of “ZUBR” activists gathered in Barysau at Prince Barys’ monument at 5 pm. Young people had on their chests Hanchar’s, Krasousky’s, Zavadsky’s and Zakharanka’s portraits with a saying “We remember…” on them. They were holding candles in their hands. Some people were handing out leaflets telling about the reason for the action.

In half an hour 7 policemen and one person in civilian clothes came up to them. They detained 8 activists, 4 of them have not reached the age yet. Protocols were filled in for all of them and the detainees had to write explanatory notes.

On 10 December Brest police detained Nina Davydowskaya, who was handing out leaflets devoted to the celebration of the International Human Rights Day near the check-point of “Tsvetatron” factory. She was taken to Brest Maskowski Borough Board of Internal Affairs. As the chairperson of Human Rights Center’s “Viasna” Brest branch Uladzimir Vialichkin said.

The action organized by the United Civic Party members to commemorate the missing opposition leaders took place in Babruisk on December 10. It was carried out in the center of the city. In an hour and a half the police with lieutenant colonel Uladzimir Bolbas came up to them. They made people stop the action and go home, as the UCPB press service reported.
