The Israeli Embassy in Minsk will reopen after Ambassador Zeev Ben Arie arrives in Minsk on November 30, sources in the Belarussian Foreign Ministry told Interfax.
Israel closed its embassy in Belarus on July 18, 2002 due to budget problems.
Zeev Ben Arie, Israel`s new ambassador to Belarus, is of Ukrainian origin. He moved to Israel in 1971. The diplomat, who has been working in the Israeli Foreign Ministry since 1993, has already served at his country`s embassies in Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.
