Two killed after car hits light pole in Minsk 15:42, 10/12/2004
Two people were killed in a car crash in Minsk in the early hours of Friday as a Ford with a 35-year-old woman behind the wheel jumped the curb and headed straight into a light pole on Clara Zetkin Street.
The driver and a passenger died, while two more passengers were taken to hospital, the press office of the Belarusian interior ministry told BelaPAN.
Five people died and 23 suffered injuries as a result of 24 road accidents reported in Belarus on Thursday.
