Zubr Member From Mahilyou Fired For Political Activism 13:24, 30/12/2004
An activist of Mahilyou branch of the Zubr movement Pavel Ugrinovich has been fired from work for support of Mikhail Marynich, the Zubr press service informs. On Tuesday Ugrinovich was summoned by the director of the unitary enterprise “Maholyou house building factory” Mr. Zubarau, where Ugrinovich worked as a welding operator. The director told him that his is dismissed. Zubarau was not concealing that the reason of the sack were political activities of the young man.
“On Thursday and Friday I went to Minsk, to support Mikhail Marynich in front of the court. As usual, I have written a request to grant me an unpaid vacation for these days. But when I returned, the director told me that I was absent from work for these two days. Besides, the director told that police was calling him many times in relation to my participation in political rallies,” told Pavel Ugrinovich.
