What Lukashenka’s Emissaries Were Taught in Lithuania? 16:14, 22/12/2005
Five young representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus visited Lithuania on December 19-20 on a reconnaissance visit. The visit has been organized by Lithuanian Embassy in Belarus.
As the BelaPAN was informed by the Lithuanian diplomatic mission representatives, during the visit young Belarusian diplomats took part in a discussion on politics of international security with the representatives of Foreign Ministry and the State Defence Ministry. The Lithuanian side had informed the Belarusian side about topical questions of Lithuanian external policy, and about the military reforms of the country after joining the NATO and the EU.
The representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus also visited a training regiment of Lithuanian Armed Forces in Rukle, where they got acquainted with the system of soldiers’ training, the conditions of life of recruits, and even had a chance to test their skills in shooting on laser simulators.
A study visit of the young Belarusian diplomats to Lithuania has become the fourth one, organized by the Lithuanian Embassy, which works as the NATO contact embassy this year.
