Belarusian patriots exonerated
12:10, 27/02/2006

February 26, three friends of Young Front - Aleg Korban, Barys Garetski and Paval Figuryn - were exonerated from the detention ward in Akrestsina Street after the 10-day administrative arrest for the solidarity action of February 16.

A number of friends from Young Front and Zubr movement were waiting for the young men, carrying white-red-white flags and shouting “Long Live Belarus!”.

According to the boys, the detention conditions are traditionally far from being good.

“Conditions of detention in the special ward are all the same. The worst thing is that we were not allowed to have walks outside, and there’s so little fresh air in the cells. And in general, people get used. We were impressed by the friendly attitude of the ward authorities who comprehended the “hooligan” articles incriminated to us were absurd, and who sympathized us”, - Barys Garetski told the Young Front press-service.

We shall remind that Zubr coordinator Aleg Miatsielitsa and resistance movement leader Yaugen Afnagel, deterred in a pre-emptive manner February 13, in Minsk, are still imprisoned for the solidarity action of February 16.
