“Men In Black” Injured Reporter’s Face (Photo)
17:16, 02/03/2006

Aleh Ulevich was making pictures of people’s arrests by the police department of Kastrychnitski district of Minsk, where Alyaksandr Kazulin is kept now.

About 30 persons gathered by the police department. They demanded to let at least his wife and daughter in. An ambulance car parked nearby. Unexpectedly, a blue bus with tinted glasses came to the police department building. “People in black” ran out from the bus.

“I was making pictures, how they were seizing people and beating them. When they ran up to me, I showed a reporter’s ID, but they didn’t care. A blow in the face, my nose damaged, my arms twisted, and I was dragged to the bus… The floor of the bus was drenched with blood. Kazulin’s lawyer was injured especially badly,” Aleh Ulevich, a reporter of “Komsomolskaya Pravda In Belarus” said on the phone, while he was transported in a bus to a police department of Lenin district. In half an hour connection with him was lost.
