Russian-Belarusian energy resources balance approved

The Council of Ministers of the Belarusian-Russian Union State has ratified the fuel and energy resources balance through 2020 in Minsk today, Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky said. The document specifies the volume of Russian gas supplies to Belarus.

The balance estimates Russia`s gas output to have reached 635 cubic meters at the worst by 2010, and 665 cubic meters at most. Belarus expects its gas production to be 0.2bn cubic meters. In 2015, Russia proposes to extract a minimum of 660bn cubic meters of gas, and a maximum of 705bn cubic meters, while Belarus plans production at 0.17bn in any case. Finally, for 2020 Russia projects production at between 680bn and 730bn cubic meters of gas, while Belarus forecasts an output of 0.15bn cubic meters of gas.

In 2010, Russia will supply 455bn at the worst, or at most 475bn cubic meters of gas to the home market, and 22bn cubic meters to Belarus. The respective figures for 2015 are set at 472bn, 505bn and 23bn cubic meters of gas, and at 485bn, 525bn, and 24-25bn cubic meters of gas for 2020. In 2010, gas supplies to countries outside Russia and Belarus will total at least 153bn cubic meters, or 163bn cubic meters of gas at most. The respective figures are expected to be 166bn and 172bn in 2015, and 161bn and 168bn cubic meters of gas in 2020.
