Milinkevich’s agitators to urge Minsk dwellers to refrain from pre-term voting 11:58, 14/03/2006
Agitation pickets in support of united democratic forces candidate for the President’s post Alyaxandr Milinkevich are to be held today in Minsk mostly near student hostels and enterprises. Election campaign activists intend not only to agitate for the candidate, but also to urge Minsk dwellers to refrain from the pre-term voting since this is a tool of falsification of the election outcome, as head of the Minsk city election headquarters of the democratic candidate Valiantsina Paliavikova told the Charter’97 press-center.
At present remedial organizations and Alyaxandr Milinkevich’s headquarters receive numerous letters from students of Belarusian universities and state officials claiming people are forced to vote ahead of schedule with threats of expulsion or dismissal.
