Petition to protest the decision of the Minsk City Executive Council to stop the right of usage of the church.s piece of land located at Kovaleva st. 72 and forceful purchase of the building has been submitted by New Life church to the High Economic Court. As Sergei Lukanin (the church.s lawyer) stated, this is the third attempt of the church to protest the unlawful decision of the city authorities.
The first two were sent to the Appealing and Cassation Committee of the High Economic Court. Nonetheless, using some formal reasons, the church was denied to protest. According to Sergei Lukanin, the High Economic Court.s decision shall be known within the next several weeks.
