The head of the Chamber of Accounts of the Russian Federation, Russian federal audit agency, Sergei Stepashin, states that the leadership of Russia does not bring up and had never been bringing up an issue of Belarus merging Russia, Interfax informs. “Nobody in Russia says that in creation of the union state Belarus is to join Russia as a constituent entity of the Federation,” S. Baranavichy city executive committee refused to issue a sanction for holding a meeting with participation of the leader of Belarusian democratic forces Alyaksandr Milinkevich. The official letter names the reason for banning the meeting: on September 15 a meeting with participation of Milinkevich took place in Baranavichy already.
Cuban leader Fidel Castro is set to meet participants of the summit of the Non-Aligned Movement which is to take place in Havana on September 11-16, he has said personally to the official newspaper of the Cuban Communist Party “Granma” on Tuesday. On September 5 searches have been carried out in the apartments of young activists Zhana Yamajkina and Mikita Abramenka. A mobile phone and computer of Yamajkina were seized. After the search Abramenka was taken to a police department for interrogation. As we have informed, on July 26 searches were carried out in the apartments of young activists Tatsyana DZyadok, Tatsyana Yalavaya, Yauhen Babkovich and Alena and Katsyaryna Kazak.
