15 Days of Arrest for Picket Near Presidential Administration
13:02, 27/10/2006

A member of the Belarusian Social-Democratic Party (Hramada) from Barysau Alyaksandr Abramovich has been sentenced to 15 days of arrest for staging a picket in support of political prisoners. Radio Svaboda has been informed about that in the court of Leninski district of Minsk.

On October 26 he placed a streamer with a portrait of Alyaksandr Kazulin and words: “Freedom to Kazulin and other political prisoners!” in front of the main entry to the building of the administration. In a few minutes he was detained by guards and people in mufti. In January Ales Abramovich served 7 days in prison in Akrestsin St. for holding a poster “Elections without dictator Lukashenka” near the presidential administration.
