22nd Day of Hunger Strike: More and More People by Ambulances 17:50, 27/10/2006
Today one more participant of the hunger strike, Eduard Amyalchuk, has been hospitalized. Two women who were examined by emergency doctors, refused to go to the hospital.
As we have informed, all participants of the protest were made a detailed biochemical blood assay yesterday. As said by an emergency physician Artsyam Adamenka, some vital signs were exceeding the norm 10 times, for instance, the level of bilirubin and liver enzymes. Eduard has been abstaining from food for 18 days already.
Despite of his dangerous state of health, doctors took a repeated blood test and advised to consult a physician and let him go.
5 hunger strikers have been hospitalized within recent days.
