Russia`s Foreign Ministry on Wednesday criticized the United States for raising the plight of an opposition leader in Belarus in the United Nations Security Council, saying the move violated U.N procedures.

A supervising committee of Frunzenski district executive committee of Minsk has decided on a conditional early release of a campaign for elections observation “Partnerstva” Tsimafei Dranchuk. The Charter’97 press-center has been informed about the father of the political prisoner Valery Dranchuk. The date of release is to be announced on December 22, when the court of Frunzenski district of Minsk would study the case.
