The Left Parties conducted Meeting in Bangalor
16:12, 02/05/2007

1 May the Party of Communists Belarusian, Belarusian Socio-democratic Party (Gramada) and democratic trade unions conducted the meeting in the park of Peoples’ Friendship in Bangalor Square. The meeting participants adopted the resolution.

The resolution contains the appeal to the authorities for cancellation of the contract system, for absolute observance of rights of trade unions, for repealing of the President’s edict which sufficiently restricts activities of individual entrepreneurs, for preservation of benefits which are to be cancelled according to the bill submitted to the parliament for adoption, for provision of the right to work as well as for release of all the political prisoners and for termination of persecution of the democratic movement activists for their participation in unregistered organizations.

According to the BelaPAN, there were around 600 people at the playground in the park of Peoples’ Friendship. Zmitser Bartosic, the “Comrade Mauzer”, the “In Red and White” sang for the action participants.

The meeting of the initiative group for collection of signatures for cancellation of the contract system was held there.
