Germany beats Belarus

As both Germany and Belarus was already eliminated from the tournament today`s game was only for honour and for avoiding last place in the group. The game took many turns as the score shifted throughout the game. Belarus took the lead already after 1:07 when Dmitri Meleshko scored, five minutes later Michael Hackert tied the game and goals by Barta and Dietrich gave Germany 3-1 lead that was reduced to 3-2 when Aleksandr Kulakov scored late in the first.

Application for holding congress of democratic forces filed to Minsk city executive committee

An application for holding a congress of democratic forces in Minsk on May 26-27 has been filed to Minsk city executive committee. It has been told on May 7 at a press-conference in Minsk by Alyaksandr Bukhvostau, a representative of the organizational committee for holding the Congress of Democratic Forces.

Wages Raise of Upper Management

Since 1 June the wages of upper management of state enterprises will leave the average country’s wages further behind. The government made the decision to increase the funds for salary raises of upper management, experts and employees by 50% and to shift the ratio of the average wages / wages of head of a state enterprise in favor of the head of an enterprise.

Krasouski refused to give evidence against Young Front members

Estonia Hampers Russian Gas Pipeline Project

Russia and Estonia exchanged another set of accusations late last week, showing that the ongoing conflict is far from being over. Meanwhile, Tallinn has found a tool to retaliate. Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip declined to meet former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder to discuss participation in a Russian gas pipeline, which means the project implementation will slow down.

Young Front Ready for Registration

On Monday at 3 p.m. at the headquarters of the BNF Party the constituent assembly of the “Young Front” organization is to be held. Tomorrow has been declared the official day of the court hearing of the lawsuit of the Young Front members Nasta Palazhanka, Alyaksei Yanusheusky, Zamitser Fedaruk and Aleg Korban who are charged of membership of the unregistered organization.

Unknown Attacked BPF “Adradzhenne” Head Office in Mahilyou

The former minister of Interior Affairs, Police general Yury ZAkharanka was abducted on May 7, 1999 in the evening not far from his house. The investigation of his disappearance by state investigation agencies was fruitless. Witnesses of the abdication, found by a public commission on search of the disappeared general, stated that Yury Zakharanka was seized and forcibly taken in a car by unknown people.
