Belarus to train sappers for the Arab Emirates 17:33, 25/05/2007
The Ministry for internal affairs of Belarus and the United Arab Emirates concluded an agreement on training experts-snappers from the UAE within the internal troops of the ministry for internal affairs of Belarus, the deputy minister for internal affairs of Belarus commander of the internal military troops Major General Valery Gaidukevich.
“The agreement on training experts-snappers on the basis of internal troops of the ministry for internal affairs of Belarus was concluded between the law enforcement bodies of Belarus and the United Arab Emirates”, he reported.
According to Valery Gaidukevich “ several experts had been already trained in one of the divisions of the internal affairs in Minsk and the certificate- Belarusian single certificate for snappers- was awarded to them”, the Interfax reports.
It is also envisaged to conclude in the near future the agreement with the internal law enforcement bodies of Qatar on training Qatar experts in Minsk ”. The Qatar party expressed it intention to send its experts of mass disorder termination for training in Minsk”, V. Gaidukevich said.
Dwelling on international cooperation of the internal troops of the ministry for internal affairs of Belarus the deputy minister stressed, ”Cooperation on training experts from China, Vietnam, Ukraine, Mongolia, Armenia is underway”. Meanwhile he remarked that “the Moldavian party has been failing to pay for the training of its 4 experts in Minsk for two years. ”They didn’t pay to us even in tomatoes”, ironically remarked commander of the internal military troops of Belarus. He also informed that this autumn the joint headquarters military exercise with the Moscow military district is to be conducted in the Smolensk region.
