Tax inspectorate is examining BPF Party
12:33, 26/06/2007

The tax examination of the Brest district Belarusian Popular Front party office is on. The examination has been launched earlier this year, and on June 21 BPF office head Yuras Hubarevich was fined with 24 basic values for violations of accountant order.

“We are not obliged to execute the office work that the tax inspectorate demands, - Yuras Hubarevich says. - The local office has no income; we do not perform any economic activity. But the tax inspectorate demands account paper work.”

Yuras Hubarevich says he will claim against the resolution on the fine.

“Several city offices of the BPF in Brest district are being examined now too,” - Mr. Hubarevich says.
The heads of the Brest district BPF office addressed the powers with a request to stop the persecution of the BPF Party activists.

“To my mind, this is a reply to that appeal, - Yuras Hubarevich says. - Now they are pressing the entire organization.”
