4 August at 7 p.m. on the motorway to Mahiliou drivers could watch a curious action. Twenty youngsters carrying posters”To Europe!” stood in line on the side of the motorway. At the end of the line there was a road sign “Europe (above) BY (below)” and the 180 turning point in between.
It was a dual purpose action. On one hand the activists were eager to get to Europe, on the other hand they didn’t move when the drivers stopped to give them the lift. The young people pointing to the sign explained that in Belarus it is possible to get to Europe without making a move.
