Vladimir Putin has decided on the third term of presidency. He is ging to become a president of the “union state” of Russia and Belarus. At least, a deputy head of the Russian State Duma Sergei Baburin believes so. He stated that on air of Narodnoe Radio.
Belarus advises the European Commission to employ the ”Ross-Belastok” power supply line for setting up the electric power supply circle “European Union-Belarus- European Union”. ”The ”Ross-Belastok” power supply line still functions at 220 kilowatts and we are working on inserting the direct current part to it thus transferring the line to 400 kilowatts. That will enable creation of the “European Union-Belarus- European Union “electric power supply circle”, said head of the department of perspective development and investments of the power engineering ministry of Belarus Uladzimir Babrou.
Nastassya Azarka, a Young Front activist, has been fined 40 basic units (1,240,000). The verdict has been pronounced by a judge of Nyasvizh regional court Maryja Dunaeva. The young activist had been charged with activities on behalf of an unregistered organosation, the Young Front. The prosecutor demanded to fine the girl 500 basic units (15, 500, 000 Belarusian rubles).
Today court trials over Young Front activists are taking place in Salihorsk and Nyasvizh. Dozens of people have gathered to express support to the young activists. However, buildings of the court were cordoned off by riot police. And riot policemen detained people.

Pavel Sevyarinets, chairman of the “Belarusian Christian Democracy” party organizing committee was released after 15 nights in prison .He was sentenced to this term of administrative arrest and served it at the Brest remand jail for holding the “unsanctioned meeting”. The meeting was dedicated to presentation of his”Letters from the Woods”. But yesterday’s night the information appeared that Pavel Sevyarinets had been taken from the jail in the unidentified direction.
Prosecutor called the Nyasvizh district court for penalizing the Young Front activist Nasta Azarka to the amount of 500 base rates, i.e. Br 15 billion 550 thousand.
Non-Alliance Movement can and must raise more actively the human rights issue, foreign minister of the Republic of Belarus Syargei Martinau considers. He declared that in his speech delivered in Teheran (Iran) at the meeting on human rights and cultural pluralism of foreign ministers of the Non-Alliance Movement member states. According to the BelaPAN quoting the foreign ministry of the Republic of Belarus press office, the event is the first conference in the framework of the Non-Alliance Movement on human rights.
Today military collegium of the Supreme Court of Belarus is to start proceedings in the case of the so-called Polish spies. “Four persons are to come to trial. Each of them is charged with collection of information and its reporting to a foreign state under on a task given by foreign intelligence,” the official report of the Supreme Court reads. “In order to ensure protection of state secrets the proceedings in the case is to take place behind the closed doors”. The four Belarusian officers face from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.
Today 15 opposition activists have been detained today near the building of Salihorsk regional court where the trial over Young Front activist Ivan Shyla had started. The Charter’97 press-center has been informed about that by a young leader Paval Sevyarynets.
