Two buses with visitors of the rock-festival “Right to Be Free” which was to start 22 August in Lutsk, a Ukrainian city, were detained today in the night near Minsk. One bus was detained near town Dziarzhynsk, the other – near Stoubtsy. Officers of the State Road Inspection stopped buses under the pretext of the supposed speed-limit breaking by the drivers. There were approximately 40 people in each bus.
It is known that one of the buses was detained about 11 p.m. Its passengers spent more than 2 hours in Dziarzhynsk District Interior Department. Their passport data and information of their jobs were taken down. Then they were taken into another bus and driven back to Minsk guarded by patrol wagon with special regiment staff-members (former OMON).
Somewhere about 0.45 a.m. the other bus was stopped. The bus guarded by cars of the State Road Inspection was taken to Stoubtsy District Interior Department. The passengers were also driven back to Minsk.
