Rally in Warsaw: Belarusian Embassy’s Worker Went Wild (Photo)

Belarusian students in Warsaw have celebrated the Day of Solidarity with political prisoners. The rally was held near the Belarusian Embassy where students fixed portraits of political prisoners: Zmitser Dashkevich, Artur Finkevich, Alyaksandr Kazulin and Andrei Klimau. The students lit candles as a sign of solidarity.

As the Charter’97 press-center has been informed by the head of the “Union in Support of Democracy in Belarus”, Antos Tsyalezhnikau, for the first time in the two years when the tradition of the Days of Solidarity stared, a representative of the Embassy went out of the building.

After the protest ended and its participants left the building, an unknown man went out of the Embassy. He resolutely knocked down candles from the one meter high wall. The protesters heard the sound of broken glass, and started to return. And then the worker of the embassy lost his resolution. He went behind the fence quickly, closed the gate, uttered a swear word to protesters and disappeared in the building of the Embassy.
