On 10 December at 6 p.m. Minsk activists of the “For Freedom” movement organised a performance dedicated to International Human Rights Day.
Ten people with their mouths taped ranged themselves along Nezalezhnasti Avenue at the underground station “Academy of Sciences”. One could read “KGB”, “Police”, “TV” on ribbons taped around their heads.
The youth draw the attention of Minsk dwellers to the problem with freedom of speech in the country. The inscriptions on the ribbons symbolised what hinders realisation of freedom of speech, in their opinion.
The action lasted about 10 minutes. The passers-by showed their interest in it.
