They are having fun

More than hundred of riot police officers were thrown against the Belarusians, who took to October Square of Minsk for action “For Independent Belarus!” yesterday. The policemen behaved extremely cruelly – roughly pushing people from the square, they stroke and kicked demonstrants, though there were girls and elderly women among protesters. They stamped on national and official flags, loudly insulted people, using slimy language.

Zmiter Hvedaruk, leader of the Young Front, got to hospital № 9 after riot police had beaten him. Policemen pushed the boy, he hit the asphalt with his head. Riot policemen stamped on the conscienceless guy, lying on the ground. Journalists called for emergency.

Zmiter is in hospital with brain concussion now. If it were true, that not all riot policemen find this awful situation to be normal, though the yesterday’s barbarity on the square showed many of them do so. They were beating their fellow countrymen, “joking” joyfully about raping the female protesters, were indignant that they couldn’t “beat them to a pulp once, so that they never go to square.”

We’d like to remind the general truth to the officers of the Minsk riot police: He who laughs last laughs best.
