Search in UCP office

Gomel office of the United Civil Party is being searched now. Members of the KGB department of Gomel Area came to a private house, rented by Gomel organisation of UCP, at 12.20 p.m.

Andrei Talchyn, head of the city organisation says four agents of secret service explained their actions by the fact that leaflets calling to support unauthorised demonstration against repeal of benefits have appeared in the city. The KGB agents think appearance of leaflets has connection with activity of Gomel democratic forces.

It should be reminded that KGB agents confiscated 6 computers and 3 copiers during the search in the Gomel UCP office on 6 October. The office equipment was considered as material evidence to the case of the unregistered organisation Young Front. The owners of the computers say there were no documents or materials relevant to the Young Front on the computers at the moment of confiscation.
