Lukashenka’s native village to be erased from map of Belarus

Village Ryzhkovichy is to become a part of Shklou town. Ryzhkovichy won renown as a place where Alyaksandr Lukashenka had lived. The Magilou Area Committee took such a decision. About 500 people populate Ryzhkovichy today. Among them is Galina Radzivonauna, Lukashenka’s wife.

Galina Radzivonauna was a director of a local kindergarten, and now deals with health improvement and sanatorium therapy in the Shklou district.

One can heard memories of local dwellers about personal acquaintance with Lukashenka. But pilgrimage of journalists to Ryzhkovichy fell into oblivion, though there are lovers to tell about their famous countryman.

Village Maladzyozhny will also join Shklou. According to BulletinOnline, not all inhabitants of Ryzhkovichy and Maladzyozhny are glad with joining to the bigger town. Parents of schoolchildren are against it. Their children won’t be able to enter universities on favourable conditions, what is possible for them now when they live in rural area.
