Portrait of political prisoner sent to policemen who were false witnesses

Dozens of letters addressed to police lieutenant colonel Alyaksandr Lamaza and his assistant police major Syarhei Kuzkou were sent yesterday by Young Front activists and other concerned people.

Portraits of political prisoner Artur Finkevich with the words “Look into his eyes!” was put into envelopes. As we have informed, Alyaksandr Lamaza and Syarhei Kuzkou were key witnesses in the trial over Young Front activists. These two “law-enforcers”, as if having learnt by heart from one paper, which must have been sent from higher authorities, accused one of the leaders of the Young Front Artur Finkevich of violations of the regime in the corrective labour facility.

The press-service of the Young Front notes the fact that in the isolation ward Artur Finkevich was interrogated as a witness in the criminal action brought up against Kuzkou himself for misuse of authority. But after a trial over Young Front activists, information about this criminal case was not received by mass media, allegedly because the criminal action hadn’t been brought up finally. Thus the fact that criminal Kuzkou had been offered termination of the case against him in exchange for false testimony against Artur Finkevich, is possible.
