Three public activists who protested against cutting trees in Hrodna yesterday, are to stand trial.
In the Leninski police department of Hrodna reports have been drawn against Nadzeya Krapivina and Ihar Lapekha not only for “petty hooliganism”, but for “disobedience to police” too. The third activist, Eduard Dmukhouski was more “lucky”: he is just a “petty hooligan”, the website Bulletinonline.org informs.
As we have informed, yesterday morning in Hrodna workers of “Hrodnazelenbud” state enterprise started to saw lime trees and maples. A professor and local historian Ihar Lapekha, an activist of “For Freedom” movement Eduard Dmukhouski and Nadzeya Krapivina, a woman living in the house nearby, tried to defend the trees. The rally was disbanded by policemen with the use of force.
