Lukashenka gave task to “chamber” to look into South Ossetia and Abkhazia’s issue

Alyaksandr Lukashenka has given a task to the “chamber of representatives” to consider the request of South Ossetian and Abkhazian rulers to recognize the independence of these break-away republics.

It is stated in the interview to “Novye Izvestiya” by the state secretary of the “union state” of Russia and Belarus Pavel Borodin.

As said by Borodin, first documents from the rulers of South Ossetia and Abkhazia were received by him, and then he forwarded them to his Belarusian colleagues.

As we have informed, on Monday the newly elected speaker of the Belarusian “chamber of representatives” Uladzimir Andrejchanka stated that the issue of recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia’s independence will be considered by the “chamber of representatives” after its being submitted for consideration, but in this case opinion of the nation should be taken into account”.
