Illegal money-changers appeared in Minsk

The dark 1990ies seem to return to the Belarusian capital. First illegal money-changers appear near Minsk exchange offices.
As the Charter’97 press center learnt from people who tried to exchange rubles for dollars in some exchange offices belonging to different banks in Kuibyshev Street, young people came up to them and offered to buy dollars at 2300–2400 rubles.
It should be reminded that all Belarusian banks have faced problems with dollar sale. Having no trust to Belarusian ruble in the financial crisis, people begin to buy US dollars.
