Freedom of expression in Lukashenka's style: Detentions for handing out independent press

Activists of the United Democratic Party Mikhail Pashkevich and Danila Barysevich were handing out the newspaper “Novy Chas” near the building of the administration of the Soviet district of Minsk.

They were detained near the entrance of the building and taken to the police department of Savetski district. The remarkable fact is that the newspaper they were handing out is registered by the Information Minisrty.
