Syarhei Skrabets seized property for second time

Former MP Syarhei Skrabets has been seized property for the second time. Officers of justice confiscated a kitchen unit, a sofa and other things for a total amount of 600,000 Belarusian rubles.
It was made in accordance with a decision of the Supreme Court.
The opposition politician was seized a year ago. But Syarhei’s mother bought back the most necessary things. This time property of the parents was seized, too. Things of Syarhei Skrabets were also confiscated.
“So, my things were confiscated two times: firstly form me, and then from my parents. It is crazy. Frankly speaking I don’t know how I should react to this,” Syarhei Skrabets told to Radio Svaboda.
Syarhei Skrabets is a member of the parliamentary group “Respublika” in the “house of representatives” of the 2th convocation, was arrested in May 2005 and sentenced to 2.5 years of imprisonment allegedly for loan extortion. Syarhei Skrabets didn’t admit his guilt. He thinks he was unlawfully convicted fro his oppositional activity. the former MP was released after a year and a half.
