Three-week unpaid leave on Atlant plant

The vacations will last for three weeks. Workers of the enterprise will have to pay for them.

According to workers of the plant, Atlant’s administration says this was caused by the financial crisis.

“We have been announced we will have holidays from December 25 to January 13. We are made to take unpaid vacation. All of us are indignant – there are holidays ahead. We were told it is connected with the financial crisis, most Belarusian enterprises are in the same situation. It is well-known fact that our plant has seen better days, but now products are not sold. Workers are even given washing machines for hire – only 20,000 per month. Many people want to take them on such conditions. It is profitable for the plant,” workers of the enterprise told to “Belorusski Partizan”.

Atlant plant is known as popular producer of refrigerators and freezers. The website of the enterprise informs, it has been producing these devises for more than 40 years.
