Days of Swedish culture banned in Pinsk

The Pinsk city executive committee banned Days of Swedish culture in the town without giving reasons.
The events in the frames of the Days of Swedish culture programme have been organised in Pinsk for four years. Pinsk dwellers could meet with Swedish artists, writes, musicians, Euroradio reports.
The organisers also used to hold Youth Poetry Contest, where students of Pinsk schools used to participate. A winner of the contest used to be invited to a Goteborg book fair. Famous Belarusian writers Ryhor Baradulin, Pyotra Vasyuchenka, Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu, and Leanid Dranko-Maisyuk used to sit in jury. Exhibitions and musical concerts were also organised.
So, the authorities deprived Pinsk dwellers of a significant cultural event.
