Israel doesn’t want abolition of visa requirements with Belarus

10

Israel, in spite of the offers of the Belarusian party, is not ready to discuss a possible relaxation of visa requirements between the countries.

– In 2004 the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of Belarus filed a note to Israel offering to draw up an agreement, providing visa-free travel or abolishing of visa fees for a number of citizens of the two countries, – said Andrei Hiro, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires consular directorate.

– Israel has not shown their willingness to consider the Belarusian draft agreement, neither have they suggested any proposals of their own,– the MFA representative said during BelTA’ s online conference.

As A. Hiro thinks, Israel is supposed to be even more interested in this agreement. According to him, the number of Israeli citizens entering Belarus is greater than the number of the Belarusians going to Israel.
